Behind the Lens

Hi! I'm Kristi, 
​this is a little lengthy so feel free to read as much or little as you want.
​Hopefully gives you an idea who I am and what I am about.

Ever since I was little, I’ve been fascinated by photographs. To me, they were more than just images—they were tangible memories, a way to hold onto people, places, and moments forever. When I graduated high school, I received my first camera (which I still have today!). It was film, of course.
Then came the digital age. When our youngest daughter was born, Josh bought a digital camera. At first, I was not impressed—how could digital ever compare to film? So, I refused to use it. That is, until one day, my trusty Minolta 35mm wasn’t with me, and the only option I had was the digital camera. From that moment on, I was hooked.

Some say you should pick a niche and stick with it. But life isn’t the same every day, so why should photography be? Every wedding, birth, family, and commercial shoot is unique, and I love capturing those moments that make each experience one of a kind.

I thrive on romance, adventure, celebrations, laughter, authenticity, creativity, and the smallest details in life. I love animals big and small (except snakes—no thank you!), and I’ll go to great lengths—even push the limits—to get the perfect shot.

At home, we lovingly call our place the "Crawford Chaos Ranch." It may not be a traditional ranch, but it’s our little corner of the world, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I love spending time with Josh, the love of my life, and our amazing kids—they keep me on my toes! And when I’m not behind the camera, you can find me gardening, hiking, repurposing, canning, creating, and even taking things apart just to make something entirely new.

Oh, and a few fun facts? I’m stubborn (Josh calls me a goat—I am a Capricorn, after all), I believe in happily ever afters (but not without hard work), and I love sugar—especially oatmeal cookies and coconut cream pie (but keep the chocolate away!).
